in Creative Learning

This article explores how AI can act as a relational peer in creative education rather than just a tool. Through drawing sessions with students and a robotic AI, the study examines how human-AI interaction can shape creative learning experiences.

The researchers designed iterative drawing experiments where students engaged alongside an AI, analyzing their creative progress and relational dynamics. While AI did not directly enhance student creativity, its presence encouraged students to explore diverse approaches, showcasing the potential for AI to expand conceptual spaces in education.

The study emphasizes the value of positioning AI as a collaborative peer to foster combinatory and exploratory creativity. It proposes that deeper, more empathetic interactions between humans and AI could lead to transformative learning and novel creative outcomes in the future.
